‘ANTM’ Winner Adrianne Curry Hits Out at Shania Twain—’It Just Ain’t Cute’

America’s Next Top Model alum Adrianne Curry has criticized country music legend Shania Twain’s concert outfit, issuing a warning to “fellow older broads.”

On X, formerly Twitter, internet personality Oli London posted a video of Twain performing onstage during her Las Vegas residency.

Curry, 42, reposted the video, which showed the “That Don’t Impress Me Much” singer, 59, wearing a pink cowboy hat and a long robe over a bodysuit. The bodysuit, which was pink and silver, had beige netting or stocking material that covered Twain from her decolletage to her toes.

It appears from her caption that Curry was not impressed, as she wrote: “Dear Fellow older broads, The day has come for us to NOT try this hard. It just aint cute.”

Newsweek contacted Twain’s representatives for comment by email.

In her post’s comments section, Curry responded to an X user who disagreed with her remark, writing: “I didnt say her body doesnt look great. Dressing like a 22 year old influencer doesn’t look great.”

She also expanded on her thoughts about Twain’s outfit in a statement to Newsweek.

“Her body is awesome. As I said in my replies. She’d look amazing in a form fitting gown with a pop of leg, which I provided photos of,” Curry said by email.

“The body suit was very ill fitting in all the worst places. As an older woman myself, dressing like a 20 year old just isn’t as cute as it used to be, and her reputation/image doesn’t fit what her stylist slapped her in for stage,” she added.

The former reality TV star is no stranger to sharing her thoughts on social media, and she previously called out Madonna’s appearance at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

Madonna, 66, had responded to those who criticized how she looked at the awards ceremony, labeling it “ageism and misogyny.”

“Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny That permeates the world we live in. A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 And feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong willed, hard-working and adventurous,” the pop legend wrote on Instagram.

While Curry defended her post about Madonna’s looks, she also told Newsweek at the time that the singer was “still a human being” and that she had defended her “numerous times on social media telling people to leave her alone.”

Twain, who made a triumphant return to performing this year after Lyme disease damaged her vocal cords, is set to perform her Come on Over Las Vegas residency through to February—having extended the run because of high demand.
