What If…? Season 3 Episode Titles Tease Huge Hulk Storyline
The names of every single episode in What If…? season 3 have been revealed, and they tease what’s going to happen in Marvel’s upcoming animated series.
In a post on Instagram, which you can see below, the official Marvel account showed off a mock magazine cover bearing the names of all eight episodes in the third season. “In one week, unwrap a new episode daily for 8 days straight,” reads the caption.
There’s also stunning art showcasing the characters who are set to make an appearance. These include Zeus, last seen in Thor: Love and Thunder as played by Russell Crowe, David Harbour’s Red Guardian from Black Widow, Hayley Atwell’s Captain Carter, Howard the Duck, and a towering mech with the Captain America colours.
As well as Hulk, What If…? season 3 also includes a giant mech wielding Captain America’s shield. We’ll get to know who it’s battling very soon.

What If…? season 3 is set to kick off with an almighty clash as the first episode explores what would happen in Hulk fought the Avengers. Memorably, Hulk battled Iron Man in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, and caused untold property damage along the way, so there’s every indication this will be an earth-shaking encounter.
Another intriguing premise is the penultimate episode, titled What If The Watcher Disappeared. Jeffrey Wright’s fourth-wall-breaking being binds the show together, so without his presence, there’s the potential for What If…? to get even more meta.
What If…? Premiered on Disney+ in 2021 and earned a respectable score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes. Season 2 continued the success and went one better with a score of 90%. There’s criticism the show doesn’t fully leverage its winning concept, sometimes opting to focus on filler ‘what if’ questions few considered (has anyone really been wondering what would happen if Howard the Duck got hitched?).
Still, with Marvel promising What If…? season 3 is the show’s final season, there’s every indication it’s going out with a bang. What If…? season 3 arrives December 22 on Disney+.
