‘SNL’ Books Scarlett Johansson and Walton Goggins for Final May Episodes as Bad Bunny, Arcade Fire Join as Musical Guests
|Saturday Night Live is closing out its landmark 50th season with major star power. Scarlett Johansson and Walton Goggins have been announced as hosts for the final two episodes of May, with musical performances from Bad Bunny and Arcade Fire.
Walton Goggins Makes Hosting Debut — With a Heavy-Hitting Guest
Kicking things off on May 10, Emmy-nominated actor Walton Goggins will take the Studio 8H stage for his first-ever time as SNL host. Goggins is currently riding high on acclaim for his dramatic and darkly hilarious turn in Season 3 of The White Lotus, as well as the final season of The Righteous Gemstones. The Justified and The Shield alum has become a favorite in both comedy and drama circles — and now he’s stepping into sketch comedy for the first time.
Joining Goggins is indie rock royalty: Arcade Fire. The Grammy-winning group returns for their sixth appearance on SNL, just one day after releasing their anticipated seventh studio album, Pink Elephant. Known for their electric live shows and deep catalogue of genre-bending music, the band’s return is one of the most talked-about musical moments of the season.
Scarlett Johansson Closes the Season With Bad Bunny in Star-Studded Finale
On May 17, Scarlett Johansson returns to host SNL for the seventh time. The Black Widow and Lost in Translation star is a familiar face on the show — and she’s bringing the heat ahead of her summer blockbuster Jurassic World Rebirth, hitting theaters July 3. With her signature mix of dry wit and comedic timing, Johansson has become a staple of SNL hosting royalty.
Teaming up with her is global superstar Bad Bunny, who will be making his third appearance as musical guest. The Latin trap phenom is still riding the wave of his sixth studio album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which topped the Billboard 200 earlier this year. Known for his stage presence and innovative sound, Bad Bunny’s return promises a high-energy finale.
A Historic Season Draws to a Close
Johansson and Bad Bunny’s episode will officially close out the 50th season of Saturday Night Live, capping off a monumental year that included a three-hour anniversary special and multiple primetime retrospectives. In February, SNL50: The Homecoming Concert, Beyond Saturday Night, and 50 Years of SNL Music brought together generations of cast members and musical guests — all now streaming on Peacock.
Before the final two shows, SNL will air its May 3 episode with host Quinta Brunson and musical guest Benson Boone, adding more firepower to an already stacked lineup.
