Pink Hospitalized on New Year’s Eve as She Awaits Neck Surgery for “Shiny New Discs

Pink is welcoming 2026 with resilience, reflection, and a renewed focus on her health.

The “What About Us” singer, 46, revealed that she spent New Year’s Eve in the hospital, preparing to undergo neck surgery while her family enjoyed a snowboarding trip. Pink shared the personal update in a heartfelt Instagram post on Dec. 31, offering fans an honest look at her challenging year and hopeful outlook for the future.

“I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025,” Pink wrote. “This year was a doozy for all of us it ran the spectrum from absolutely devastating to mildly annoying.”

While the Grammy winner did not disclose the exact cause of her injury, she hinted that her physically demanding career played a role, adding, “Rock ’n’ roll is a contact sport.”

Focusing on Healing and Self-Care

As she waited for surgery, Pink explained that she is undergoing a medical procedure to replace damaged discs in her neck.

“And I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and fixing my body,” she shared. “It may not be a fancy facelift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck  a new scar, a new reminder that I appreciate this vessel and use it for all it’s worth.”

Despite spending the holiday alone in a hospital room, Pink said she feels optimistic about the year ahead.

“As I sit here by myself on New Year’s Eve while my family is happily snowboarding,” she wrote, “I know that 2026 is going to be better, because that is the choice I have made.”

Family, Gratitude, and Choosing Joy

Pink, who shares children Willow, 14, and Jameson, 8, with husband Carey Hart, reflected on the beauty she still found during a difficult year.

“I got to wake up every day and love my children and help them follow their dreams,” she said. “Showing them that life is an adventure or nothing at all.”

The singer emphasized that her focus moving forward is positivity, purpose, and protecting joy both for herself and others.

“I choose joy, and I leave behind the hurt,” Pink wrote. “I’m choosing positive thoughts over negative ones. I’m going to reclaim my wild and keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness.”
