Jennifer Lopez Remains Single One Year After Ben Affleck Divorce, Focused on Career and Family
Jennifer Lopez is entering a new chapter of her life single, grounded, and focused on what matters most.
Nearly one year after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, the 56-year-old global superstar is not dating, according to a source who spoke exclusively to people. Instead, Lopez is prioritizing her career and her children, embracing independence and stability.
“It’s All About Work and the Kids”
A close source says Lopez is fully committed to her professional projects and family life.

“It’s all about work and the kids for her,” the insider shared.
“She seems happy and content.”
Lopez shares 17-year-old twins, Maximilian “Max” David and Emme Maribel Muniz, with her former husband Marc Anthony, and continues to put motherhood at the center of her life.
Divorce From Ben Affleck Finalized Earlier This Year
Lopez officially finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck, 53, in January, nearly 20 weeks after filing for dissolution of marriage on August 20. Court documents list April 26, 2024, as the couple’s date of separation.
The split came exactly two years after their second wedding ceremony, which took place in Georgia in front of close friends and family. That celebration followed their intimate Las Vegas wedding in July 2022.
A Love Story That Found Its Way Back and Ended Again
The former couple’s relationship marked a second chance at love. After ending their first engagement in 2004, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in 2021, capturing global attention.
Despite the high-profile reunion, the relationship ultimately came to an end and Lopez has since embraced life on her own terms.
Jennifer Lopez Embraces Being Single
In an October 2024 interview with Interview magazine, Lopez reflected openly on her excitement about being single after years of navigating difficult relationships.

“I’m not looking for anybody,” Lopez said.
“What if I’m just free?”
She described the idea of being fully independent as empowering, calling it a chance to finally “fly on my own.”
Why Lopez Isn’t Using Dating Apps
Appearing on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show in October, Lopez shared that while she considers herself “old-fashioned” and has no plans to use dating apps like Raya, she’s confident about the future.
Though she avoided naming past partners, Lopez revealed a lesson she’s carried with her.

“What I learned is not that I’m not lovable,” she said.
“It’s that they’re not capable.”
A New Era of Self-Worth and Independence
Lopez added that true love starts from within.
“They need to love the little person inside of them,” she explained.
“They need to appreciate who they are.”
As Jennifer Lopez continues to focus on her family, career, and personal growth, she’s proving that being single isn’t a setback — but a powerful reset.
