Jennifer Garner’s Son Samuel, 13, Is Ben Affleck’s Mini-Me in Rare Outing with Mom

Jennifer Garner enjoyed a rare public outing with her son Samuel — and fans couldn’t help but notice how much he looks like his dad, Ben Affleck.

On Friday, Feb. 6, the actress, 53, was photographed walking hand-in-hand with her 13-year-old son on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, where she was celebrating a major milestone for her company, Once Upon a Farm, which officially went public that day.

Dressed in a navy suit, Samuel smiled as he supported his mom, striking a strong resemblance to Affleck — from his facial features to his easygoing demeanor.

Garner shares Samuel, along with daughters Seraphina, 17, and Violet, 20, with her ex-husband.

Earlier this year, Garner reflected on parenting older kids while speaking with Marie Claire UK, admitting that her role as a mom has evolved as her children enter their teenage and adult years.

“They’re so cool,” Garner said of her kids, adding that her parenting style has “shifted.”

“It’s more about parenting with a button on my mouth,” she explained. “You have to let them grow up and make their choices. You don’t get to control it.”

The actress added that she’s “so proud of how they walk through the world” and proud of them “for trying hard.”

Affleck has also shared rare comments about co-parenting with Garner and raising their children. In October, while attending the premiere of Kiss of the Spider-Woman, which he produced, the Oscar winner spoke with Access Hollywood about his kids — particularly daughter Violet, who recently testified at the United Nations.

“I could not be more proud of my children. I can’t even tell you,” Affleck said. “[Violet] takes after her mom. She’s spectacular.”

He continued, “I’m very lucky that I’ve got a great partner and that we got great kids. It’s the joy of my life.”

More recently, Affleck told E! News that he doesn’t expect his children to follow him into acting.

“When you have a public life, you put something on your children, and that’s complicated,” he said. “We really want to give them room to figure out what they want to do.”

“They’re brilliant and lovely and wonderful,” Affleck added, joking, “and hope that they don’t waste their life acting.”
