Firefighters Rescue Deer Trapped on Frozen Washington Lake
Firefighters in Washington state rescued a deer after it was spotted struggling on the frozen surface of Loon Lake earlier this week.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 27, when local resident Daniel Poleschook noticed the deer slipping and unable to stand on the ice near his home. Concerned for the animal’s safety, Poleschook said his wife contacted the Stevens County Fire Department for help.
Video recorded by Poleschook shows the deer repeatedly losing its footing on the frozen lake. After firefighters arrived, one crew member carefully restrained the animal while others pulled on a rope, guiding the deer toward shore.
