James Harden Arrested in Houston
NBA star James Harden was arrested in Houston early Saturday morning.
The 36-year-old basketball player was taken into custody by the Houston Police Department at 3:41 a.m. and charged with one misdemeanor count of unlawful carrying weapons.

Harden, who previously played for the Los Angeles Clippers and is now with the Cleveland Cavaliers, was accused of having a handgun in his vehicle in an unlawful manner, as stated in the complaint.
According to authorities, the handgun was easily visible and not stored in a holster.
Details regarding the incident were limited, but reports indicate that Harden was leaving a Houston hookah lounge with friends at the time of his arrest.
He was released on bond later that morning and is scheduled to appear in court on June 22 for his arraignment.

Harden was traded to the Cavaliers from the Clippers in February, a deal that included player Darius Garland. He has strong connections to Houston, having spent nine seasons there after being traded to the Rockets from the Thunder in 2012.
During his time with the Rockets, Harden was consistently selected as an All-Star and earned the league’s MVP award in the 2017-18 season.
After his tenure with the Rockets, Harden played for the Nets, 76ers, Clippers, and now the Cavaliers.
In his first season with Cleveland, he contributed to the team’s advancement to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they were ultimately swept by the New York Knicks.
