Alan Ritchson Cleared of Criminal Charges Following Neighbor Dispute, Police Confirm
Alan Ritchson will not face any criminal charges following an alleged altercation with a neighbor in Tennessee, according to a statement released by the Brentwood Police Department, which had been looking into the incident.
Brentwood Police Captain Steven Pepin stated, “After examining the evidence available, which included video recordings and witness accounts, we have concluded that no criminal charges will be filed. Mr. Ritchson acted in self-defense during the incident,” as reported to Entertainment Weekly.
Pepin further mentioned that while a charge of reckless endangerment was considered, Ritchson opted not to press charges against his neighbor. He confirmed that the investigation is now concluded and no additional actions will be taken.
Details of the Dispute
In a conversation with TMZ, who initially broke the story, Ritchson’s neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, recounted that tensions escalated on Saturday morning when he was disturbed by the loud revving of the actor’s motorcycle. The next day, Ritchson returned to the neighborhood on his bike, accompanied by his two children. After riding around the block twice, Taylor reportedly decided to confront the star.

“He rode past me once and then again. When he came by the second time, I stepped outside and told him, ‘You’ve got to stop,’” Taylor shared in his interview with TMZ.
The footage of the incident reportedly shows Ritchson striking Taylor, who is seen on the ground attempting to get back up. Sources close to Ritchson have informed TMZ that the actor did not provoke the confrontation. The report indicated that prior to the recording, Taylor had caused Ritchson to fall off his motorcycle and then pushed him to the ground.
