Kinsley Williams, age 8, died on June 17 after the all-terrain vehicle she was operating overturned, as reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Officials informed local news outlets that Kinsley was driving at a high speed and trying to make a left turn when the ATV flipped, according to People.

Authorities stated that Kinsley was thrown from the vehicle before it fell on top of her. She was pronounced dead shortly after the incident. Her younger brother was also on the ATV during the crash but fortunately was not hurt.

In an interview with KTEN, Kinsley’s mother, Amber, shared that the family searched for hours for the 8-year-old before calling the authorities around 10 p.m. local time. The family was visiting from Texas when this tragic event occurred.

Kinsley was a bright and adventurous spirit

Amber fondly remembered her daughter, describing Kinsley as a cheerful child who brought happiness to those around her.

“She was full of spark and energy and always so goofy, silly, and just always makes you laugh,” she told the outlet, as reported by People.

Amber added, “She always helped other people and even strangers. She wanted to give and help feed them.”

Amber continued, “She helped with her brothers and always wanted to make people laugh and lift their spirits when they were down. [She] was always… outgoing and very adventurous.”

Following this heartbreaking event, Kinsley’s grandmother, Dawn Manning, started a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral costs, stating: “Kinsley was just 8 years old and would have turned 9 in August. She was a bright, adventurous spirit who loved fishing, riding side by sides, dirt bikes, and 4 wheelers. She enjoyed doing projects with her mom and playing Roblox, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her.”

“She was always so giving to others and always so silly and goofy,” she added. “Her kindness, energy, and love for her family touched everyone she met.”
